My wife is a Bookkeeper and usually does our taxes using TurboTax, but this year she wanted to try an accountant because our daughter is in her first year of college and has a couple scholarships which might complicate the tax return. So I jumped in to fix the problem and found a "tax guy"! I know nothing about taxes and very little about accounting, but I have been listening to Dave Ramsey for several years and knew that he had a preferred provider network so I just went to the website and picked the closest one who happened to be Rocco Pangallo. The day of the appointment my wife asked me things like: How do you know this guy? How much will it cost? and How do we know that we can trust him? I just shrugged my shoulders in doubt and said Dave recommended him.
Bottom line: He spent forty minutes with us. Explained to my wife how she could do it with TurboTax and offered to help if she couldn't figure it out. The best part it's he charged us nothing! If we need any accounting help on the future there is no doubt we will go to Rocco!
